Google Nexus One

Its been rumoured for a while and now Google's entry into the mobile phone market is here. Built by HTC, the Nexus one can be purchased from http://www.google.com/phone. The phone is $529 unlocked and $179 with T-Mobile contract).What you need to know about the hardware is:
- Large touch screen display (3.7 inch OLED)
- Super fast processor (1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset)
- 5 megapixel camera with flash
- 130g (slightly lighter than iPhone)
- 11.5mm (slightly thiner than iphone)
- Massive Stand By Time of upto 250 hours on 3G
- 20 hours of audio playback
- 7 hours of video playback
- 4GB Micro SD Card (expandable to 32GB)
What you need to know about the software:
- Google's open operating system (Android 2.1 OS)
- Voice-enabled keyboard
- Dynamic noise suppression (Audience Inc)
- Live wallpapers
- 3D photo gallery
- And all the google apps you can think of
All in all the package looks good and if Google can deliver the same quality it manges for search and online applications, then this is definitely worth a look. The open nature of the Android operating system and increased support by multiple manufactures, should ensure that there are soon has more apps available than for the iPhone.
