After owning several Blackberry phones I have a ton of usb connectors for the old phones. I only got one with the new Torch. Since it has the new Micro connection, I had several useless cords laying around. This allows me to keep one in the car, one set aside for travel, ETc. You get the picture. Great little adapter.

If you are upgrading your older devices that use Mini USB Connectivity and dont want to purchase a new Micro USB Car Charger, Charging Cables etc. you can simply purchase this adapter and re-use those old accessories. Its a great benefit and will save you some cash on buying additional chargers for home, work etc.

Only downside is that its small and can become loose over time but for around ten dollars its a quick fix and much cheaper than buying new accessories due to a simple change in cables.

I like this adapter better than the copycat product from RIM. This Motorola cable includes a little lanyard to attache it to the car charger or data cable so it doesnt get lost even if it gets pulled off. It is available cheaper from other places, but ShopCracberrys site is very reliable.

I picked this up for use with only the charger. I was curious if I could charge my Storm from my PC using the adapter. Imagine my surprise when my PC recognized my phone! I was totally shocked as I was able to access the files stored on the phones SD card. Looks like the adapter DOES allow data.

This is a good item to have to be able to use with other usb cables that you may have. It seems to be of good quality. I feel that it is over priced but probably still less expensive here than purchasing it at one of the box retail stores.

Fred, you need to read past the title and go onto the description. The description says it also works for headsets and data.

It should work for everything it advertised for.

Works for charging function only, but not data. When using this adapter, my WinXP laptop does not recognize mass storage nor Storm. Ive seen other adverts saying this is a charging adapter. FYI.

used a car mini-usb charger that worked for my old Blackberry and with my Bluetooth headset, but it wouldnt charge my Q. Then tried it with the mini-USB cable attached to my computer - again, no charge.
