This is a charging adapter. It works great as advertised. A charging adapter. I see the last person only gave this 4 stars. That is not because of the product. It is because the person did not read the title.

Pros:  Does what it is supposed to do and more
Cons:  None

I picked this up for use with only the charger. I was curious if I could charge my Storm from my PC using the adapter. Imagine my surprise when my PC recognized my phone! I was totally shocked as I was able to access the files stored on the phones SD card. Looks like the adapter DOES allow data.

Pros:  Does everything for my 8900
Cons:  Available for $4.95

I found this adapter both synced and charged using all my existing OEM and non-OEM data/charing cables and wall charges.
