Solid Motorola Quality
User: Russell Campbell, Dec 27, 2007
If you want to start off with a top-notch full-install speakerphone car kit, the Motorola IHF1000 is just the ticket. Because the microphone and speaker are physcially separated, the sound clarity cant be beat. If you are a little bit handy, you can install it yourself --- just be sure to get the right wiring harness for your make & model of car. Many car stereo units have a mute wire, and the IHF1000 will mute your radio or CD player promptly when you receive or originate a call. The built-in voice recognition worked great. And if you forget the voice commands, the help menu will prompt you with a selection. Pairing the unit to a Bluetooth phone is easy. And once the pairing is done, the unit will automatically hook up with your cell phone every time when you turn the ignition key on, followed by a brief voice-annouce to let you know the connection is complete. The laws out there requiring hands-free operation are getting tougher, and this unit will provide a big dose of added safety to your driving. Highly recommended.

IHF1000 Good Sound
User: Joe Mechanic, Mar 30, 2008
The IHF1000 has good sound in my opinion compared to a Parot 3100. I looked around for over a month trying to find a unit that had good sound when the driver is going down the road. Something I noticed about the Parot was that it cut out some times, and the sound reminded me of somebody talking in a pipe. It could have been the professional install, but several I heard all sounded the same. As for the Motorola IHF1000, it works good if you follow the instructions. Ive seen some installs where the speaker was near the door and they just didnt sound good. Follow the instructions for component location and it will work and sound good. For those who want to do their own install, there is a direct plug wire kit and switcher kit for most cars available. I would recommend against wiring to your radio speakers without the switcher kit.

Paring IHF1000 and 3g Iphone
User: Jim Czerwinski, Jul 13, 2008
I got my 3g iPhone yesterday and paired it and had not problems with it. It paired and answers and hangs up as it is supposed to. im able to make voice command calls from the IHF1000 also without any problems. Im not sure why its being reported that people are having this problem. It took me less than a minute and it works fine.
