StarStarStarStarStar Very good charger!!
User: Vic Pal, Jan 21, 2011

Pros:  compact, dual voltage, easily used
Cons:  none

This is a nice addition to any EVO 4G since itll take dual voltage inputs 12 volts from a car, RV, motorcycle, or boat battery, and 110 volts of North American household current when your home, or traveling for pleasure or business.

I mate this charger with a 4 USB / USB micro cable which give me the effectiveness of talking on the mobile phone while its being charged - either in my car/truck or in my house or hotel/motel room.
StarStarStarStarStar Works well for anything that charges from your computer
User: Earle Lloyd, Jul 22, 2007

Pros:  Very convenient. I dont have to carry two chargers
Cons:  USB plug would be better from the side not the top

I have had mine for a few months now and find that it charges all of my accessories that charge from the USB port on my computer. Of course I bought a sync & charge cable for my TREO because the description does not say it comes with one and the pictures clearly show that one is not included. The USB cable sometimes hits another plug if there is one in the other electrical plug. Would work better if it came out of the side. Not a major flaw but a minor inconvenience.I am purchasing another one to give to a friend.
StarStarStarStarStar Un Buen producto Pero......
User: Ronny H. Rico Nagashiro, May 22, 2007
StarStarStarStarStar Works for me...
User: Redwood Kardon, Apr 27, 2007

Pros:  Light weight, small, multifunction, inexpensive,
Cons:  slow charging when charging from wall outlet

I've been using one of these for months. I travel a lot and minimizing the number of wall warts I need to lug around with me is always a good thing. I saw a complaint about lack of durability. That hasn't been my experience. I'm generally pretty hard on my gadgets and this one has held up fine...
StarStarStarStarStar DOES NOT WORK WITH TORCH
User: G Z, Nov 6, 2010
DOES NOT WORK WITH TORCH
StarStarStarStarStar Bad Product
User: Greg Simmons, Aug 29, 2007

Pros:  Small Form Factor
Cons:  It does not supply enough current in AC mode

I ordered and returned two of these units since they do not put out enough current to charge a Treo. The Treo would beep constantly as it went in and out of "charge" mode. Dont waste your money unless they come out with a new version that works....
StarStarStarStarStar quit working after only 2 uses
User: Steven J, Mar 12, 2007

Pros:  didn't notice any
Cons:  when it DID work, it was slower than Christmas

stick with REAL chargers...this one is pretty iffy
StarStarStarStarStar doesn't charge the Q
User: blackgenie 13, Mar 4, 2007
i plugged it in to the wall outlet and it doesn't help charging the Q. once i almost ran out of battery while on the phone, and then i plugged it in to the wall outlet, but my battery still went dead anyway. so i left it charging my cell phone for the whole night, and my Q still wouldn't fully power on (went dead half way through powering-on) in the morning. same thing with the car charger.

i tested my S&C cable, as well as my battery, they are still capable of to be fully charged.

perhaps it works well with other devices, but probably not smartphones. or perhaps i got a defect?
StarStarStarStarStar doesn't work well with Motorola Q
User: blackgenie 13, Mar 4, 2007
I bought this for my motorola Q, but somehow it doesn't generate enough power to charge the Q. once i almost ran out of bettery while talking, and i plugged this to the wall outlet and connect it to my Q. a few minutes later, my phone still went dead on me. then i left the Q (already automatically turned off) to be charged with this product for the whole night. in the morning, i had a little power to turn the device on, but it still went dead on me half-way though powering-on my Q.

i've checked my S&C cable and battery, they are both operating in perfect condition (meaning i can fully charge the thing with my other chargers).

anyhow, by reading another review that has a similar problem, i wouldn't recommand this to a smartphone user.
StarStarStarStarStar Very cheap construction
User: Jack Fastag, Feb 22, 2007
Great product concept, but very cheap execution. The unit stopped working after just a few weeks, and then the outlet prongs fell off.
StarStarStarStarStar Doesn't fully charge a Treo 700p
User: Joel Reed, Jan 23, 2007
The convenience of this piece of equipment is great. However, I cannot get it to fully charge my Treo 700p. Even after having it plugged in to an outlet all night long, the next morning I find that it still not fully charged. Or, even if the indicator suggests that it is close to fully charged, the phone runs out of juice very quickly. This needs to be fixed or it should not be sold for use with the 700p.
StarStarStarStarStar Works Well or Requires?
User: Andy Frueh, Jan 18, 2007
The original description of the product, posted when I made my purchase, did not mention that you MUST buy or have an additional product before this would work. The site only mentions it "works very well with" S&C cables. "Works very well" is very different from "requires"...NOTHING on the page explicitly says "such-and-such add on is required to use this product."

Customer service tried to tell me otherwise (as if there's no difference between "I work well with oxygen" or "I require oxygen") and that the picture of a USB port should have told me that the product requires a cable.

Sorry...my laptop has a USB port but it doesn't require a USB cable for me to use the laptop. An empty port doesn't signify that something else is REQUIRED...only that you can plug something in it.

It should be stated very clearly what you need to use a particular product. This description (quoted below in case they change it) clearly says it is a "COMPLETE charging solution" (my emphasis on "complete") when it is so clearly NOT complete.

Customer service basically gave me a "so what" attitude.

Product Description:
On your wall or in your car, the DuoCharger is ready! Perfect for the traveling businessman moving from rental car to hotel room, this compact device works very well with our S&C cables. Powering your Smartphone is no challenge for the DuoCharger. It's a complete charging solution combined with a small, sleek design. Traveling with your Smartphone has never been easier!
StarStarStarStarStar be sure to order the cable
User: Jessie B, Jan 7, 2007
The output on this car charger is USB. You have to buy a special cable adapter that goes from USB to Treo in order to use it. Apparently this cable is ONLY available from Treo Central, because I went to Radio Shack, The Sprint Store, and Wireless World today and none of them had an adapter cable that would work.
